“Great Sports Weekend–What I Saw-What I Think:

=============

CHARGERS…Lopsided loss in Las Vegas…QB-Justin Herbert has no run game..not much pass protection…no run defense and a team with more injuries.  This looks like another non playoff season for the young superstar.  Just so many players hurt, it feels hopeless and the QB has no help..

RAMS..From Super Bowl to toilet bowl, now a 6-game losing streak under Sean McVay, crushed too by all these injuries.  Who would have thought the 2-tenants at So Fi Stadium would be suffering thru this horrific season.

49ers…Now QB-Jim Garoppolo has a broken foot and is out for the year, and they don’t have Trey Lance either.  Can you say Christian McCaffrey running the single wing?

DALLAS…So scary on defense and getting all their skill guys on the same page on offense enroute to a (9-3) record.

RAIDERS…Getting better, getting more dangerous, Carr, Jacobs, Adams, improving offensive line  and a better defense.

SEATTLE…Hard to believe this is journeyman Geno Smith having this type of season for the Seahawks.

BALTIMORE…Lamar Jackson keeps getting dinged up-might not be long run in  the playoffs.

VIKINGS…They live on the edge, all these last minute wins.  May be flawed but you cannot take away their 10-wins this season.

EAGLES…Is there anything Jalen Hurts and this team cannot do?  Some package of offense and defense Nick Sirianni has put together….(11-1) and more to play.

USC…What a testament to the leadership of QB-Caleb Williams, throwing for (363) and that big run, playing on one leg in the loss to Utah.  What a spectacular season.

MICHIGAN..No letdown in their win over Purdue-though the knee surgery for RB-Blake Corum is a setback

GEORGIA…Stetson Bennett is not a household name, but 4-more TD passes, added to the running game and that defense, unbeaten and still number one.

TCU…Came within 1-possession of a perfect season but lost to Kansas State, but very good, very tough.

OHIO STATE…By virtue of all the late season upsets, they survive their loss to Michigan and get back into the playoffs.  QB-CJ Stroud has to find his hot hand

ALABAMA…Alot of whining out of Tuscaloosa-just not the same team this year, and I think fans are glad there will be no Tide in the playoffs.

CLEMSON…Quarterback problems did them in.

USC…Has to be a letdown to wind up in a bowl game against the Tulane Green Wave.

UCLA..winds up facing Pitt in the Sun Bowl in El Paso.

OREGON…Will put on a show in the Holiday Bowl against North Carolina.

WASHINGTON…A very dangerous team with Michael Penix at QB and a good bowl game too vs the Texas Longhorns in the Alamo Bowl..

A wild weekend to say the least.

Hebert needs to call his agent today to start planning his escape from the Bolts. He just needs to look at what Brees did in NO or what Manning did in NY to understand that staying in Spanos hell will waste a career like it did for Rivers, et. al.
