“Aztecs Basketball-Getting ready to play the big boys”

Brian Dutcher is headed for big time games. San Diego State plays Texas Southern in a Wednesday non-conference game. Just ahead, the Maui Classic, and a first round matchup with Duke and its astounding freshman big man Zion Williamson.

Though TSU is from the SWAC conference, what they have done over the last two years is catching the attention of a lot of people. Playing big time teams, and bringing in big time transfers too.

Dutcher thinks the game with the Tigers will be a strong lead-in test for what happens in Hawaii.

..Plays hard all the time..great drive and size
..Have yet to watch Duke-Kentucky tape
..But challenge to play them next week
..Our veterans have played great teams…the kids will learn about that

..Freshman scored 13-straight points in scrimmage on Monday

..USD has senior laden team-Sam Scholl got very good team
..Point Loma has great young player
..UCSD is going Division 1-in two years.
