Virginia-W-Texas Tech (85-77)….Virginia hits 11-free throws in a row in overtime to pull away after the Red Raiders had fought back from a 9-point deficit in the first half and a 10-point hole in the 2nd half…..U-Va center DeAndre Hunter hit a game tying 3- out of the corner with (:05) to go in regulation to tie the game, then hit another 3-to start the overtime to give the Cavaliers the lead…..Hunter finished with (27P)….Kevin Guy added (24P) in the win…..Texas Tech star Jarret Culver went (0-8) in the first half, but rallied in the second half to bring the team back. ….Texas Tech went (1-11) from the floor to start-had 1-basket on 7-and-half minutes at the start, but then reeled off a (12-2) run…..Virginia built a 10-point lead in the second half only to see the Raiders hit 3-straight 3’s to rally back and tie the game……coach Tony Bennett guided his team to Virginia’s first NCAA title.
