Eagles-W-Carolina (45-21)
- A nightmare of a night for Carolina Panthers QB-Cam Newton, as his downward spiral of productivity continued in this blwout loss. The Eagles defense had three early interceptions, 2-fumble recoveries, and had 9-quarterback sacks, Darren Sproles took a punt return back 65-yards for a TD, and backup quarter Mark Sanchez torched the Carolina secondary much of the night with 300-plus yards. Ron Rivera’s job could be in jeopardy as his team falls to (3-7), and questions will abound everywhere about the health of Newton, and wiseness of playing him coming off a dislocated ankle. He looks like half the quarterback he was prior to his injuries, without the burst running the football, and looks mechanically flawed. His roster is flimsy, the defense deplorable, the pass rush lacking. Carolina is an example of the disaster that is the NFC-South, where the teams have a combined record of (11-25-1), and no one is above the .500 mark. .
