Chargers-Bears….Would usually say this is a good thing to see these guys on the schedule at this time, but we did that already with the last two games, Raiders-Ravens, and look how that turned out…..Philip Rivers running out of teammates to get the ball too, with Keenan Allen gone, Ladarius Green ailing, Antonio Gates at less than 100-percent, and a battered offensive line….Jay Cutler has similar problems too, with injured Matt Forte at running back….Bears never got 1st round pick WR-Kevin White on the field this year because of injuries..Limited health for Eddie Royal and Alshon Jeffrey a problem too…Retooled defense getting a bit better under John Fox with lots of new faces…Probably ugliest Monday Night Game ESPN will broadcast this year.

Packers-Carolina….Back-to-Back tough road games for Aaron Rodgers, steamed at last week’s anemic (77Y) passing performance….Panthers tremendous ‘effort team’ on defense won’t make it easy on Packers QB….Cam Newton running ball some, and getting help from no-names on offense, plus tough guy RB-Jon Stewart….What a coaching job by Ron Rivera.

Bengals-Browns….Johnny Manziel likely starting at QB for beat-up Josh McCown….Cleveland coach Mike Pettine having all types of injury issues on top of off the field issues last couple of years…Cincinnati a complete football team right now…Andy Dalton has matured so much….Lots of very good complimentary parts…and defense is fast and physical.

Eagles-Cowboys….Dallas now with 5-game losing streak….Matt Cassell not doing much at quarterback despite his experience….Darren McFadden takes over at running back…Dez Bryant finally back, but not at 100-percent..More interesting to watch all the explosive stuff on-off field with Greg Hardy-Bryant and others…Eagles run hot-cold…Think NFL has figured out Chip Kelly offense for sure.

Rams-Vikings…RB-Todd Gurley goes after his 5th straight 100-yard game…he’s a player….Adrian Peterson-Ted Bridgewater meet the Rams front seven on defense..could have upset in making here.

Titans-Saints….Drew Brees trying to single-handed carry New Orleans back into playoff race…Numbers last week (511P-7TD) just amazing…Tennessee in disarray-ousting Ken Whisenhunt-bad ownership-bad coaching-bad roster.

Redskins-Patriots….Tom Brady has New England firing on all cylinders…Defense-very young-growing-playing very well thanks to Bill Belicheck teaching mode…Kirk Cousins finally won a game last week-so what….Don’t know where Washington run game has gone.

Miami-Buffalo….Two tough guy coaches go after each other with this likely be smash-mouth game…Ryan Tannehill will throw-question how many sacks he takes…Bills still spotty on offense-have to live with ups and downs EJ Manuel..Rex Ryan’s team could go to (3-5)….if Dan Campbell wins in Buffalo-might get fulltime coaching gig.

Jets-Jaguars…Pity Blake Bortels heading into NY…Jets really upset with back-to-back losses…They likely crank it up on defense….No Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB with thumb injury-can Geno Smith manage the game-rather than lose the game?

Falcons-49ers…Atlanta has lost its edge a bit, but Matt Ryan will make a strong second half push….San Francisco has fallen apart under owner Jed York….Benching Colin Kaeperneck not the solution-getting better players around him is the issue…Real disaster now in that shiny new football stadium in Santa Clara.

Raiders-Steelers…Derek Carr is flinging it….The combo of Cooper-Crabtree catching it…Latavius Murray running it…Jack Del Rio has them playing hard…but this is in Pittsburgh and it will be tough even if Steelers don’t have Le’Veon Bell at running back….Raiders going for 3rd straight win-when was last time you could say that?

Giants-Bucs….Which Eli Manning shows up for this one?…..Bucs playing better now that RB-Doug Martin is productive to take workload off Jameis Winston…Kid QB not turning ball over as much as early in season…Despite all their problems, Tom Coughlin has team in first place, of course that is with (4-4) record.

Broncos-Colts…Peyton Manning (7TD-11Int) is not what he used to be….then neither is Andrew Luck…they are rated 30-31 in NFL this week in passing….Colts offensive line lousy….Wade Phillips “6-pack-blitz” on defense superb…Would think this could be upset game of week, but Colts fired offensive coordinator-and don’t play well together.
