COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS.
..Notre Dame-Penn State…Old fashioned slugfest..Two dominant defenses.  Probably turnovers decide this.  As rugged as the Irish-Nittany Lions are, this might be an anti-climatic-boring game.

..Ohio State-Texas..The Buckeyes are saving their best for last and Texas likely reaches the end of the road on Friday night.  After watching Ohio State destroy Tennessee and then top ranked Oregon, look for more of the same vs the Longhorns.

STATE OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL
..Penn State’s James Franklin said it best.  There needs to be uniformity across all conferences, in roster sizes, NIL money and better restrictions on the Transfer portal.  What happens when only a couple of schools have the funding to go to 105-football grants from the current 85?  What happens to the competitive balance in the rest of each conference?  What happens to the Title IX rules for women’s scholarship?.  You may enjoy these big playoff games, but no one seems to enjoy the mess that exists in how the game operates.  Everyone for himself is not good for the game.
