…Do you favor the Mission Valley sight or Downtown San Diego for a new stadium?

…What is most important to you in new stadium…Freeway Access, Tailgating, Parking.

…Would you vote Yes-or-No for the raising of the Hotel-Tax to help fund a Stadium downtown?

…Would you buy PSL tickets to help keep the team in San Diego?

…Do you believe Dean Spanos wants to stay in San Diego or just make the best deal for his family?

…Are you retaining your Chargers seasons tickets?

…Will you buy season tickets after what happened this past year in the Stadium crisis?

…Who do you have faith in to get a deal done, Faulconer-Roberts…..Spanos-Maas.

    1. I favor Mission Valley as a fan with just a stadium and a large parking lot but as a taxpayer and a businessman downtown is better and the place could be used for many more dates a year.
2.Most important in a new stadium for me is parking, freeway access then tailgating in that order
3.I’d 100% vote yes to raise tot. SD is a tourist destination let the visitors help pay for it. I have to when I go to other cities.
    4. Yes I would buy PSL’s. But depends on price.
    5. I believe Dean wants to stay but will only stay if he gets a stadium under his terms.
    6. Yes, I already paid for my season tickets this week. Paid in full too.
    7. I already bought my season tickets just like I have since 1989 and will continue to buy them only if they are in San Diego.
    8. I don’t have much faith in Spanos or Faulconer/Roberts to get a deal done. They all are just looking out for their own interests. I’m hoping they do I just don’t have too much faith in it happening or the voters supporting it. As a consumer and fan I am more than willing to pay more at a new facility.

    Hacksaw,

I have no faith in Dean or Team Spanos, and currently view the downtown stadium as subterfuge and stalling….basically trying to fool San Diego fans into filling the Q for one more season before he shuffles off to share the LA Coliseum with Kroenke for a season or two.

I boycotted this past season…first time in over 30 years I did not attend a game…and I didn’t buy anything else Chargers related either…no jersey’s, pennants, t-shirts, or other merchandise…but I did attend more Padres games than I usually do…and I’ll do that again this season.

While a stadium is a stadium, it seems that Mission Valley is closer to being shovel ready…my perception is that it can be started, completed and the Chargers can be playing there before MTS can even move a bus from downtown to clear and clean the bus yard. Mission Valley would also provide much better parking, public transportation, and yes tail-gating….how can you have a football game in San Diego without tailgating…its like going to Green Bay and not having a bratwurst?

    So anyway, where we go:

    1. Mission Valley
    2. Tailgating
    3. hotel tax – Yes
    4. PSLs – No
    5. Dean? Dean will go where the money takes him. He has no loyalty to San Diego…his only loyalty is to his wallet.
    6. I gave up tickets last season.
    7. Hell No…I won’t buy jerseys, hats, or other Chargers merchandise this season either!
    8. I have faith that no matter what happens, it won’t be pretty. Spanos has delivered nothing but broken promises since owning the team…I have faith in him continuing to give us broken promises…Fred Maas will have this blow up in his face. I have a little more trust in the Faulconer-Roberts, because what they have proposed at least seems feasible….no one has carte blanche anymore…and the Mayor seems to be doing his best to balance a lot of needs for the City of San Diego…

At this point Lee…piss on the Chargers and let’s quit wasting our time on them, and see if we can get the Raiders to move here for 2017.

  3. Jim Wheeler says:

Currently live in Orange Co, so would prefer the downtown site, easier to get to via train. I travel and have seen other cities (Phoenix AZ) use hotel and rental car fees to pay for infrastructure. so no problem. Believe the Inglewood deal for Spanos is not a great one, but believe if he can not get a downtown stadium with little team investment, he would prefer Inglewood over any other San Diego deal. Also not sure that the local politians are all that keen on keeping the Chargers if they push hard for downtown. More interested in their funding base (hotels, etc) than keeping the team
