“NFL-Must Win Weekend”

——————-

It is crunch time in the NFL, teams fighting for their playoff lives.

A quick look at key games.

CHARGERS-COLTS….Hate to say this is a ‘trap game’ for the Bolts, but Indy is angry at how badly they played, and they are starring Nick Foles, who has had big games coming off the bench in his NFL career.  Bolts defense is playing much better.  A win gets them to (9-6) and solidifies things.  A loss dumps them back into the traffic jam.  History may write the win over Miami may have saved their season.

RAIDERS-STEELERS…Absolute have to win a game for Josh McDaniels-Derek Carr team.  Getting to (7-8) keeps them close to the last spot but you never know about this Jekyll-Hyde team.

BENGALS-PATRIOTS…Last weekend’s last play-last second loss may have sealed New England’s fate  The bad decision on the lateral turned a win into a bad loss and may cost them a playoff spot.  QB-Mac Jones coming off an awful (13-31) passing outing…Cincinnati ‘s Joe Burrow is red hot (3881-31TD).

SEAHAWKS-CHIEFS…Suddenly on a skid, Seattle has to find a way to get a couple of wins the final three weeks of the season.  Won’t be easy with Patrick Mahomes (4496Y-35TD).  Some season for Geno Smith (3671Y-27TD).

WASHINGTON-SAN FRANCISCO…Been a remarkable second half of growth for Ron Rivera’s team, especially on defense (308YPG)-ranked 3rd in NFC.    Can Washington move the ball against the Niners street tough defense (286YPG)?

EAGLES-COWBOYS…The bigger questions this weekend, not if Philly can keep winning, but will Jalen Hurts play any of the final three games of the season or protect the ailing shoulder for the playoffs?

PACKERS-MIAMI…Dolphins need to stop the bleeding-batterings they have taken and they don’t want to lose any home wildcard games.  Packers play for pride but should be a wild game in sunshine not on frozen tundra.  Hard to believe Green Bay is (6-8).

TAMPA BAY-ARIZONA…Hard to think of a first place team in a division, having a (6-8) record, but that is what is going on with Bucs.  Even harder to believe, etire NFC South is a combined (21-35).

DENVER-RAMS…A combined (8-20) between these two teams.  Russell Wilson playing, Matthew Stafford not playing.  Who could have imagined this situation back on Labor Day weekend when the season was starting?

JETS-JAGUARS…All you need to know about this weekend..is what the Thursday win meant to the Jaguars and what the loss did tot he fast-fading Jets.

Sunday night, a few of the playoff hopefuls might be done.  Keep tabs, will be interesting.

Merry Christmas.
