“AFC-NFC Showdown-Sunday”

===============

You know the big play skills of 3-of the quarterbacks.

You know the gifts of all those speed wide receivers.

You know the dominance of at least two of their defenses.

You know the mindset of these teams.

Don’t know if this weekends game surpass what we saw last weekend, but these will be dandies.

BENGALS…They have no fear thanks to the productivity of Joe Burow.  They have three big play receivers led by Ja’Marr Chase.  Cincinnati does not have the defense to cope with everything they will face on Sunday at high noon.  Good season, but not a complete team.

CHIEFS..Pick your poison, but how does Cincinnati lineup across from Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill.  And then the role players like Mecole Hardman and a host of backup receivers and running backs.  And on defense here comes Frank Clark and Melvin Ingram and the KC pass rush against a young, porous offensive line.

49ers…Somehow a pedestrian San Francisco team has beaten the Rams 6-straight games in the Kyle Shanahan-Sean McVay era.  But there is some reality in asking can you win a playoff game against a Rams team with a QB-throwing for 105-yards, as Jim Garoppolo did last weekend.?  No doubt this is a really good San Francisco defense and maybe they can get a rush against a battered Rams offensive front.  But the Niners just don’t have enough skill people.

RAMS…Looks they have arrived.  The most fascinating aspect is how Odell Beckham has become such a trusted alternate to the dynamics of Cooper Kupp.  What an explosive tandem, and now you add tight end Tyler Higgs to the mix.  The Matthew Stafford numbers are staggering.  And if that’s not enough, mix in Aaron Donald and the entire defense.  Hard to believe this team ever lost to the Niners earlier in the season.

WHO WINS…Cincinnati has to find a way to make this a shootout.  The Bengals need to slow down the Chiefs.  Not possible.  Chiefs 45-23.

WHO WINS…The Rams jump out in front, force the Niners to catch up.  Don’t think San Francisco can play ball control and shorten the game.  Though the Niners defense will be physical and may slow down the Rams, you may keep Stafford out of the end zone on some series, what are you going to do the other 7-times he gets the ball?  Rams 38-17.
