NBA Play In Games-Good–Not So Good”========

Firing 3-points shots on all the games played in the last 24-hours in the NBA play-in games.

LAKERS….Yes LeBron and AD just picked the rest of the roster up and carried them to victory, but nearly to the point of exhaustion.  Not much off the bench, and they were in a 15-point hole.  Did LA win it, or did Minnesota give it to them? How does the Lakers hold up in a long series if the King and AD have to do all the work every night.

TIMBERWOLVES…Garbage performance and the team hurt by the bum antics of Rudy Gobert punching a teammate in the huddle and getting suspended.  Add in a ridiculous 24-turnovers, missed free throws and the poor performance of Anthony Edwards.  Karl Anthony Towns played possessed but played stupid too. Minnesota regrets this loss all summer long.

HAWKS…They beat Miami with a 53 point effort from the bench, so go enjoy the game, the win, but that is the end of the run.  Weird rumors they want to part ways with Trae Young too.

MIAMI..What an awful finish to the season, amid chemistry issues.  Not sure how you lose games with the firepower of Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro and some athletic forwards.  Pat Riley cannot be happy how this ended.

CHICAGO…You wonder how good this team could be if they did not have all these injuries.  Zach LaVine put on a 39-point night and DeMar DeRozan added 23 and they earned this Toronto win with gritty role players.

TORONTO…Lose an 11-point lead at home in the final 8-minutes, and miss 18-free throws, and safe to say Nick Nurse might be the next head coach axed.  Franchise just does not seem to fit, and the roster plays so erratically.  The Kawhi Leonard era is a distant memory.

OKLAHOMA CITY…Ripped by injuries, and yet they are so explosive.  This is more that just Shai Giligeous Alexander with the ball in his hands.  Ask me about Josh Giddy and Lou Dort and a bunch of role playing bangers..They have athletes, depth, the second youngest roster in the league, and they own 15-first round picks in the next five years.  Something big coming in the OKC.

NEW ORLEANS…Brandon Ingram is such a top young shooting talent.  It’s too bad the other top talent, Zion Williamson, can’t stay on the floor.  So many injuries coupled with the stigma he is out of shape and is not a tough guy.  Yes the foot injuries are an issue and it takes time to come back, but he is practicing, not playing, and does not seem ready to clear the emotional hurdle you have to play in pain.  Zion has played 114-of-308 games in his New Orleans career.  Boom player? No bust !
