“NBA-3-Point Shots Everywhere”

We are ready for the new look NBA playoffs…starting with the Play In games between the 7th and 8th place teams…and 9th-vs-10th.

The Lakers play on Wednesday…a 1-game play-in vs Golden State.  You’d think this would be a walkover, but the Warriors roared to the finish line to get into the playoffs thanks to the blazing 3-point shooting of Steph Curry.  He had 46 on the weekend so he can cause you problems.  The Lakers have LeBron James and Anthony Davis back in the lineup, but they don’t look 100% and you wonder what happens if they get hurt.

San Antonio and Memphis play in the other Western Conference play in game.  Neither figures to be anything more than one-and-done.

In the East, upstart Charlotte meets battered Indiana.  It has been quite a rookie season for LaMelo Ball, (15PPG-5R-5A) per game.  It is obvious he is more gifted than older brother Lonzo Ball.  The Hornets though will be without high scoring F-Gordon Hayward, oft-injured, and out against.  Indiana lost TJ Warren weeks ago and that’s alot of points (15PPG) they have to find off the bench.

Washington meets Boston in the other play-in battle.  The Wizards wiped out an awful start on the strength of a blazing pair of guards, Brad Beal (31PPG), and triple double artist Russell Westbrook, who eradicated Oscar Robertson’s NBA record (180) triple doubles this week.  Boston just lost G-Jaylen Brown, doesn’t play much defense, and for all its talent, seems headed in the wrong direction after a (36-36) season.  Some wonder if coach Brad Stevens might be in trouble.  Most think GM-Danny Ainge should be in trouble.

And of course waiting out there the rest of the playoff field, led by 52-win Utah..the suddenly healthy Clippers..explosive 47-win Denver..the dynamic Brooklyn Nets…the talent 76ers…gritty NY Knicks and Yannis and his Milwaukee Bucks.  Going to be an interesting month of basketball.
