MLB-Union…..Commissioner’s Office to make a ‘Financial Proposal’ to Union about pay scale for the 82-game schedule MLB wants to play beginning July 4th….Proposal could include deferred payments on salaries due players rest of this season-defer into 2021-season…Union rejected overtures on a 50-50 revenue split.  Union demanding full accounting of all owners revenues.

..Union wants Sky Box revenue Stadiums and revenue from MLB-Media included in total amount of money in proposed split with players.

..Amount of money teams will be saving if there is no minor league baseball this season….Each team has average of 6-minor league teams…some 200-minor league players not have to be paid this year..

..Union wants to know what amount of money MLB will lose from TV network rights fees with season cut in half.

..Union wants owners to pay interest rates on any deferred players salaries not paid till 2021.

..Union wants total teams will save on bonuses-salaries since MLB draft is being cut from 40-rounds to 5-rounds.

Japan…Nippon Baseball League announces it will open training camps on June 1st…start season on June 19th.

KBO..Korean League hands down 1-year suspension to ex-Pirates shortstop Jung Ho Kang for 3-DUI arrests earlier in his career…had already been suspended 1Y by MLB.
