…(SDSU)…

Aztecs..Explosive Press Conference…AD JD Wicker-Head Coach Brady Hoke walk out in anger after questions about the Matt Araiza lawsuit-rape case…Responded badly after 8-straight questions were asked about lawsuit after opening statement.  Wicker returned 20-minutes later to answer questions  about SDSU stance on dealing with police….Hoke returned about opening football game and opening of Snapdragon Stadium.

JD Wicker:

..SDSU issued 6-page statement on Police Investigation and Title IX rules
..Active investigation underway
..We take allegations sexual assault-seriously
..Under no circumstance would we tolerate this
..We will discipline whomever involved
..No one above the law
..Refused to answer question about policy allowing athletes practice-play
..We brought speaker into meet with players about rape incidents
..Not aware of any other athletes involved in incident
..Look at history in our program-we have not seen alot of incidents
..We educate our athletes about responsibilities
..We have leadership training, sex assault training, relationship training
..We did not receive any names until lawsuit was filed last Thursday
..SDSU Title IX-handling the investigation-athletics not in the loop
..We have 500-student athletes on campus-we help guide them in making decisions
..Always want to get to tottom of investigations as soon as possible
..Allow SDPD to handle this extremely complicated case
..We did not sweep this under the rug because we were having a great season
…One of our principals is to provide guidance…we have great players-great coaches
..This is difficult but we have alot to celebrate
..This is hard for all of us
..Coach Hoke takes this very seriously
———
Brady Hoke:

..We have cooperated and support the investigation and DA probe
..What happened should have never had happened
..We preach accountability in this program
..Husband-father we deeply respect women in our lives
..This is intolerable for what has happened
..We will not protect anyone
..We will not compromise our values
..Walked out of press conference after questions continued

..Braxton Burmeister-added alot to our football team at QB
..He makes decisions when to run-because he knows he can run
..His speed-is difference with his quickness
..Really gained respect of team
..He can throw the ball down the field and extended plays
..Jesse Matthews-has arrived as veteran players
..Arizona QB-Jayden deLaura-very athletic-decision maker
..We go back to Washington State video-it was very different offense
..Jed Fisch-was coordinator at Michigan..then in NFL-knows offense
..We are not blind going into this game
..52-new guys since December on our roster
..We look at personnel on the field-look for matchups
..Arizona will be very different
..Moved Brandon Dickson from RT-to-LT
..Hard to play redshirt freshman in OL but they will grow
..Excited see Josh Simmons-athletic-power
..This will be hard for young guys-no doubt
..We will use Jordan Bird-Cam Davis as running backs-slot receivers
..Mike Goff influenced this move alot..Dickswon worked hard
..We have alot of good running backs hero…Cam Davis brings difference
..We have 4-corners we feel good..bunch safeties
..We have huge rotation of linebackers
..Kicker Jack Browning is ready to punt and field goals
..This fall camp was very hot and it will be very hot on Saturday

..We have great kids-we want this investigation resolved
..Disappointed we are in this abyss

Coryell’s coaching tree is filled with Super Bowl trophies that eluded his Bolts. Zampese, Gibbs, and Madden all racked up legendary careers.
